Verse 1
I had wished Santa Claus could find a home for me.
With a red (pink) bicycle under a frosted Christmas tree.
A dad to take me to my first soccer game.
A mom to hold and hug and to share her last name.
Back on that Christmas season
Chorus 1
I became their Christmas child
A present without a bow,
with freckles across my tiny nose.
I became their Christmas child
Verse 2
I helped my new mom make reindeer sugar cookies
Homemade bread, and chocolate covered candies
Sat on daddy's knee in my new warm country home
I thought, "When I'm grown, I want a Christmas child of my own."
And in that Christmas season
Chorus 2
He'll (She'll) be my Christmas child
A present without a bow,
with freckles across his (her) tiny nose.
He'll (She'll) be my Christmas child
Bridge
From a crash long ago, I lost my first Mom and Dad
Now I believe, through Jesus I'll see them in heaven one day.
Chorus 3
He is our Christmas Child
Through the birth of His royalty
We'll be one big family
He is our Christmas Child
